GN Packs

Did you know up to 500 million women and girls live in period poverty each month?

$12,000 Goal

Period poverty refers to the lack of access to menstrual hygiene products, education, and other tools that allow menstruating women and girls to manage their periods with safety and dignity.
In many developing countries, menstruation is taboo and not openly discussed, therefore becoming a confusing and scary experience for young girls.

Many young girls around the world…

… are unable to afford sanitary products

… are often torn between purchasing food or menstrual supplies, and many have been forced to improvise with devices that may be ineffective, unhygienic, and unsafe.

… have poor knowledge of menstruation

… end up in an inappropriate relationship with older men to have their basic hygiene needs met. These relationships can have dire consequences, such as sexually transmitted diseases, unplanned pregnancies, and polygamous marriages, where many are abused.

… will miss school because they don’t have the right menstrual products to manage their period safely.

What can you do?

You can help prevent all this by supporting our mission to fight period poverty. We provide menstrual pads and other toiletries to girls in need. These necessities are packed in a small bag that we call GN Packs (Girl’s Necessities Packs).

About our GN Packs

A typical GN pack may include one pack of menstrual pads and some of the following: body lotion, soap, shampoo, deodorant, toothbrush, toothpaste, bras, and underwear.

A GN pack costs $12; we have provided 50 GN packs per month with your donations, but considering the high demand, this year, we aimed to increase the support to 100 GN packs. You can help by supporting one or many girls each month. Any amount you donate will be beneficial.
